Woofun AI reports that Vanar Chain is executing a strategic migration to Coinbase’s Base network, fundamentally reorienting its VANRY token toward the AI ecosystem rather than general-purpose blockchain infrastructure.
The tokenomics overhaul involves expanding the total VANRY supply from 2.4 billion to 10 billion units. To mitigate immediate market impact, 62% of this expanded supply will be initially locked, with the remaining balance scheduled for release over a five-year period.
Structurally, this shift abandons the resource-intensive model of a layer-1 blockchain in favor of reducing operational overhead. The newly allocated tokens are designated to fund developer incentives, staking rewards, and ecosystem grants, thereby aligning capital distribution with specific AI-related use cases.
Per Woofun AI, the migration leverages Base’s infrastructure, which is built on Optimism’s OP Stack and has emerged as a dominant Ethereum layer-2 ecosystem since its 2023 launch. This move grants Vanar Chain direct access to Base’s expanding DeFi and dApp ecosystem, enhancing liquidity and developer tool availability.
While the gradual unlock schedule aims to dampen short-term selling pressure, the substantial increase in total supply introduces significant dilution risks. Investors must closely monitor how this strategic realignment impacts long-term token value as the project transitions away from its original architectural identity.
